Hello everyone and welcome to TRUCOPOLY. My name is Greg Novak and I am the inventor, creator and designer of TRUCOPOLY. After spending many years on the road as a truck driver and owner operator, I felt a need to invent a game the public could play and really see what truckers go through on the road in a fun and exciting way. Without truckers, America would come to a halt with in days. The clothes you ware, food you eat, car you drive, building supplies for the house you live in, that cup of coffee you drink in the morning, the TV you watch your favorite show, your stereo for listening to music, and this list goes on and on was brought to you by a TRUCKER. Truckers are the most under paid and unappreciated profession in America today.
Being a trucker isn't just about sitting behind a steering wheel and driving up and down the road. A professional trucker has to put up with a number on obstacles daily just to get their freight delivered. Truckers have to deal with the weather, blizzards, torrential rains, the heat of the desert, subzero temps in the winter, hurricanes, tornadoes, flash floods, transporting their freight over the mountain ranges, mud slides and other weather related elements. When your sleeping, vacationing, working, spending time with your family or what ever, these truckers are moving your needs, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Truckers also have to deal with the laws and regulations of the road on a daily basis. They have to deal with weigh stations, The DOT, inspection stations, hours of service and log books. Just when you think this is the end of their worries, the truckers have to deal with the daily maintenance of their tractor trailers. These men and women truckers that haul your needs, also have to make sure that their 18 wheeler is operating at safe and efficient level. Then their is the truckers family they are away from for long periods of time.
TRUCOPOLY is a game all about the trucking industry. The object of the game is; who ever builds a fleet of ten trucks first wins. While playing the game and building your fleet of 10 trucks, you have to deal with every thing the American Trucker puts up with in the transportation business. Weigh stations, DOT, having over weigh loads, log books, truck stops, out of hours, transportation brokers, shippers, receivers, truck payments, IRS, truck insurance, Repo's, truck repairs, weather and the list goes on. The fines, truck payments, truck insurance payments, truck repairs, truck stops, transportation broker, shippers are all paid out in TRUCOPOLY Play Money and but use real dollar values to make your TRUCOPOLY gaming experience as close to the real thing the truckers deal with on the road.
